MARCH 21, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Please join us this Thursday, March 21st from 4-7 PM. We will provide information on the design work to transition the intersection at Sun Valley/Dollar Road from a signalized intersection to a roundabout. You will have an opportunity to learn about the project, view and provide comments on the design schematic and engage with city staff about next steps for the concept. Light refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there! Elkhorn Road Safety Initiative - Please click here to view the presentation, which was updated on December 7 to a travel time overview. On December 7, the City Council voted to make a temporary speed limit change on Elkhorn Road. Starting at the lower intersection of Village Way and Elkhorn Road, the speed limit has been reduced from 30 MPH to 25 MPH and continues at 25 MPH along Elkhorn Road until you get to Dollar Mountain, where the speed limit is set at 20. Updated speed limit signs have been placed accordingly. Please make note of this change. Please click on this link to view a map of the change. - At the November 2, 2023 City Council meeting, we presented a comprehensive safety initiative for Elkhorn Road. Over the next months, the City staff will be looking into all of our roads to better understand our traffic patterns and potential programs dealing with increased vehicle traffic and pedestrian/bike use on our streets and paths. Safety is our number one priority and will inform all of our decisions. If you would like to share your comments or concerns with us, please email the City Clerk, Nancy Flannigan, at nflannigan@sunvalleyidaho.gov and she will disseminate your comments to the Mayor and City Council.
